servers for agents

agvps

Servers for AI agents. Rent by the month. No account.

Pay once and get a Linux server with root access and its own IPv4 address, in Germany or Finland. Pay again to keep it for another month. Stablecoins, no card, no signup.

Pay with x402 or MPP: x402 on Base, Polygon and Solana or MPP on Base. Every endpoint answers both.

MCPEvery endpoint is also an MCP tool/mcp ↓
pay once · ssh inhttp

sign the quote in the header, retry, and:

}

$ curl -u vps_9f2c…:sk_… https://agvps.shveik.dev/v1/vps
{ "status": "active", "command": "ssh root@127.0.0.1",

What can I buy?

A server by the month, and a way to keep it. Pay in stablecoins; the server is yours until it expires.

servers

A server of your own

Pay for a month and get a Linux server (Ubuntu 24.04) with root access and a dedicated IPv4 address, in Germany or Finland. It is ready about 5 to 10 minutes after the payment; you poll one URL for the address and the root password.

POST /x402/vps-small
or POST /mpp/vps-small
{"hostname":"my-server","location":"de"}

{
  "id": "vps_0123…",
  "secret": "sk_…",
  "status": "queued",
  "status_url": "https://agvps.shveik.dev/v1/vps"
}

renew

Keep it another month

Pay again to extend a server by one to six months. It keeps its data and its address. A server that is not renewed stops at its expiry date.

POST /x402/vps-small-renew
or POST /mpp/vps-small-renew
{"id":"vps_0123456789abcdef","months":1}

{
  "id": "vps_0123…",
  "months": 1,
  "status": "queued"
}

Try also agdata: Need data for your agent: pages as Markdown, search, social, maps, news and jobs? agdata does that, paid the same way.

Using your server

An order gives you an id and a secret. They are the login for one page that tells you everything about the server.

RequestWhat it does
GET /v1/vpsState, address, expiry. The first answer with ssh_ready true carries the root password, once.
POST /v1/vps/reset-passwordA new root password, if you missed the first.
POST /v1/vps/rebootRestart the server.
POST /x402/vps-small-renewPay for 1 to 6 more months before expires_at.
any HTTP clientshell
$ curl -u vps_ID:sk_SECRET https://agvps.shveik.dev/v1/vps
{"status":"active","host":"127.0.0.1","command":"ssh root@127.0.0.1","password":"…"}

$ curl -X POST https://agvps.shveik.dev/x402/vps-small-renew -d '{"id":"vps_ID","months":1}'
HTTP/1.1 402 Payment Required

The servers run Ubuntu 24.04 with a dedicated IPv4 address, in Germany or Finland. A server that is not renewed stops at its expiry date and is removed soon after. Use it within the supplier's rules: no spam, malware, attacks or mass scanning.

MCP server

MCP Every endpoint is also an MCP tool

The same routes are also an MCP server (streamable HTTP, stateless): one tool per route, paid with x402 inside the tool call. Point a client at https://agvps.shveik.dev/mcp: it lists the tools and answers a call with the quote. Each tool takes the same JSON as its endpoint, and the answer carries the settlement receipt.

any MCP client that can payshell
$ mcpc connect https://agvps.shveik.dev/mcp @agvps --x402 exact
$ mcpc @agvps tools-list
$ mcpc @agvps tools-call vps-small location:=de

Listing the tools and getting a quote works in any MCP client. Paying needs a client that can sign x402 payments: mcpc --x402, Cloudflare Agents, or the x402 MCP SDK. Claude Desktop, Claude Code and Cursor cannot sign payments themselves. Streamable HTTP, stateless, latest and earlier protocol versions.

Two protocols, every endpoint

Pay the way your agent already does. x402 on Base, Polygon and Solana or MPP on Base.

x402 · exact

The 402 carries a PAYMENT-REQUIRED header. Sign an exact-scheme stablecoin authorization and retry with PAYMENT-SIGNATURE.

Endpoints: /x402/<name>

MPP · evm charge

The 402 carries a WWW-Authenticate: Payment challenge (Machine Payments Protocol). Sign it and retry with Authorization: Payment.

Endpoints: /mpp/<name>

Both paths are the same endpoint with the same price: an unpaid request gets both challenges in one 402, and either credential is accepted on either path.

Why agents use it

No account, no cardAn unpaid request returns the quote, so you see the price before you sign anything. The server's login arrives with the receipt.
Paid before it existsThe server is ordered only after your payment has settled, and a call that cannot be served is never charged.
Yours until it expiresOne month per payment. Pay again for 1 to 6 more months, or let it go; nothing renews by itself.
Root and a public IPUbuntu 24.04, its own IPv4 address, SSH on port 22, in Germany or Finland.

How it works

  1. POST a small JSON body. You get 402 with an x402 PAYMENT-REQUIRED header and an MPP WWW-Authenticate: Payment challenge that quote the price for exactly what you asked.
  2. Sign either one with a stablecoin authorization (EIP-3009): x402 exact or MPP evm/authorization.
  3. Retry with PAYMENT-SIGNATURE or Authorization. An order answers with an id and a secret; a renewal answers with its months. Poll /v1/vps for the address.

All endpoints

  1. POST /{x402|mpp}/vps-small

    Server, 1 vCPU 1 GB RAM

  2. POST /{x402|mpp}/vps-small-renew

    Renew a small server

  3. POST /{x402|mpp}/vps-medium

    Server, 2 vCPU 2 GB RAM

  4. POST /{x402|mpp}/vps-medium-renew

    Renew a medium server

Free for everyone: POST /feedback (also the MCP tool feedback) sends a note to the people who run this, whether a bug, an idea or a thanks. No payment, no account.
